Jo Ripplinger, MS

(she/her)

Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist

I have a Master's Degree in Psychology focusing on Addictions. I am a Meeting Facilitator for SMART Recovery and a Usui Reiki Master. I have years of personal experience in the addictions arena, and rich life experiences to draw from to help clients on their journey, whatever that may be. My theoretical orientation is an eclectic approach; I believe each individual is unique and requires a distinct path to match their treatment goals.

I understand how crucial it is for the client's progress and recovery to be supportive and non-judgmental while providing direction and a safe space for emotional exploration. My role as a clinician is to assess each situation with the client's goals in mind and design the best treatment for the individual within their belief system. I am currently in training as a DBT therapist. My future plans entail integrating EMDR therapy to concentrate on treating trauma as this is the basis for addictive behaviors and a factor in mental health issues. I am enthusiastic, have a curious mind, and believe.

"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." – Albus Dumbledore
