Leslie Funk, MS, LPC
(she/her)
Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist
I earned my Master’s degree in counseling from Capella University and am currently pursuing licensure in Minnesota. I have extensive professional experience working with mental health crises, having previously been a part of a local crisis team. My work spans a wide age range, from 6 to 65, and I have significant experience supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
I would describe myself as curious, spontaneous, enthusiastic, and outgoing. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and holistic. I recognize the importance of being non-judgmental and supportive, as it allows clients to explore their emotions in a safe space. I understand how challenging it can be to seek help, and I believe that all clients show courage in doing so. I believe that my clients and I learn from each other - that I learn from them, just as they learn from me. Ultimately, I see my clients as the drivers of their journey while I serve as the navigator, assisting them to reach their destination at their own pace.
