Marsha Wichmann, MS, LPCC-S, LAC, LADC, NCC (she/her)
Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist

Hello! My name is Marsha and I have worked in the mental health field in various roles and with many different populations for over 10 years now. Some populations I have worked with include young adults, LGBTQIA and individuals with substance use disorder. I have a great passion for helping people be their ideal version of themselves and know that everyone has the potential to reach their goals.

I believe that every individual has different needs so there is not a one size fits all approach to therapy. My goal is to follow the lead of my clients to ensure that the work we are doing together meets their needs. I gravitate towards Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Person-Centered Counseling naturally, but also utilize EMDR, Animal Assisted Therapy, CBT, DBT, Affirmative Therapy and motivational interviewing, among other approaches.

Education: I completed my BA in psychology and criminal justice from Minnesota State University Moorhead and MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I also completed my certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. I am a current Doctoral Student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at North Dakota State University.

When I am not at work or in school, I am spending time with my husband, our 5 kids and our 8 animals (2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs and a chinchilla). We love watching our kids in their activities or going camping. I also love doing all types of art, crafts and baking when I need to do some self-care.
