Chris Hanson
(he/him)
Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist
I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist committed to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and find meaningful solutions. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New England College and a Bachelor’s in Rehabilitation and Human Services from the University of North Dakota, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world experience to my practice.
As an Army veteran, I understand resilience, adaptability, and the importance of a strong support system. My approach is person-centered, meaning I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs while fostering a supportive, nonjudgmental space for growth. I integrate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and personal growth challenges.
I work with a wide variety of individuals, including adults and couples, guiding them toward emotional balance, improved communication, and greater self-awareness. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking a space to process and grow, I strive to help you find clarity and direction.
Outside of therapy, I bring a down-to-earth, approachable energy to my work. I believe in the power of humor, authenticity, and collaboration in the healing process. In my free time, I enjoy gaming, fitness, and spending time outdoors.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
