Ashley Peterson

(she/her)

Temporary Licensed Graduate Social Worker

I am a clinical trainee (Temporary Licensed Graduate Social Worker) providing therapy to teens and adults under the supervision of a licensed clinician. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW), and I bring four years of experience in the helping profession, including advocacy and case management. During that time, I supported individuals experiencing homelessness as well as those involved in the justice system, including individuals who have committed sexual offenses. These experiences strengthened my commitment to meeting every person with dignity, compassion, and genuine understanding—no matter their background or circumstances.

My therapeutic style is grounded in a warm, steady presence and a collaborative approach. I draw from CBT and DBT‑informed strategies, along with a systems perspective that considers the many influences shaping a person’s life, including family dynamics, cultural identity, environment, and community supports. My work is rooted in strengths-based and systems-oriented practice, allowing me to understand each client within the full context of their lived experience.

I value curiosity, compassion, and meeting clients exactly where they are. I believe therapy should feel safe, empowering, and culturally respectful. My goal is to help individuals build meaningful coping skills, deepen their understanding of personal patterns, and move toward growth that feels authentic and sustainable.
