I grew up in a small farming community in South Dakota. I initially earned a Bachelor’s degree with majors in Biology, Environmental Science, and General Business, but after my dad passed away from a short battle with cancer, I decided to go back to school for nursing. I have been a nurse since 2011. Throughout my nursing career, I have had the ability to care for a wide variety of patient populations. Since October of 2018, I have worked with mental health patients and realized my passion for the field. I know that it is not always easy to find someone that is skilled in treating mental health. Due to that, I decided to go back to school and have been a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since February of 2023. I provide psychiatric medication management to ages 5 and up. I have special interest in anxiety disorders, OCD, and other related conditions. I am familiar with and willing to provide Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is the preferred therapeutic treatment modality for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. In my free time, I love doing Legos and playing with my cat.
